I never understood this either. It seems like parents are in some sort of contest to see how many after school activities they can put their children in. Then the parent complain about how busy they are. Go figure.

Thank you for posting! Great episode!
I think it’s hysterical that they use brooms to sweep up carbon fiber debris. You can easily get a puncture from carbon fragments.
Spot on - I was so pissed off when they stopped the Integra, one of the best damn cars around. I had one for 14 years and drove it into the ground. When I looked at their lineup at the time it sucked and was way overpriced for what they were - re-badged Hondas.
Reminds me when the Detroit Red Wings coughed up both lungs when they lost a series to the Sharks back in the 90's. Same thing too - they were up 3-x and then suddenly imploded for no reason.
I had the same issue with my old Acura Integra - put in a couple of grand worth of repair work for a car that was worth barely that, or put that money towards a new car. Easy decision.
I’m with option 2 - I suck at sprints. We have plenty of hills here in SF so no problem there.
My wife is in the safe boat. Mosquitoes love her.
Circle K in Dubai was awesome. Many 7-11's are really nice in Asia, especially Taiwan.
This is funny - my driver’s license doesn’t have “Federal Limits Apply” on it, and it was renewed last year. Then again, our California DMV is a complete clusterfuck of epic proportions. My wife spent an entire day just trying to renew her license.
COTD! More stars!
It’s similar to a “repositioning” cruise. A cruise ship needs to travel from port A to port B, but will sell tickets to fill the ship from A to B at a discount.
Rolling does help somewhat because of compressing clothes. I roll my clothes within the packing cubes and it’s a nice combo.
I always bring a Clif bar or similar with me just in case. Dried mango also works very well for longer trips and is very portable.
Yes - they definitely weren’t the first. I remember using MathCad back in the day, along with several other programs.
Spot on about Duckworth.
Disclaimer: I worked at Wolfram Research 20 years ago. I used Mathematica when it was version 1 and the notebook idea was great. When the most recent version of Jupyter notebooks was being embraced as the latest thing since sliced bread, I was thinking “Wow - you’re barely doing what we did at Wolfram over 20 years…
Yikes! I’ve been on coach Chinese trains that look better than that.
Having ridden DC Metro, it makes Bart look great by comparison. That’s a low bar.
Reminds me of this old F1 classic fight with Nelson Piquet:
