Perhaps - if they already had a house and were otherwise well to do, then what the hell. Go for it!

How about an old fashioned baseball bat/2x4/lead pipe upside the head?
1) Buy a Honda S-2000 (fun to drive!)
2) Pocket the rest of the money in CD’s, stocks, mutual funds and bonds.
3) Profit!
Seriously - save the money for a down payment on a house or retirement. Better use of that level of money.
Never get tired of watching that video. Imagine the tickets that would get handed out in SF.
I was seriously looking for a good “VTEC just kicked in yo” joke but I got nothin...
All of that free booze lives up to your name...
I always put oil filters on hand tight + 1/4 turn. No more. Dealers were the fucking worst. When I had my Integra, the fucking dealer cranked it on with a torque wrench or something, because I couldn’t get it to budge. I ended up going to a garage and even they had trouble getting the damn thing off from below.
I’ve done my share of OJing in airports - the worst being at Chicago O’Hare. Ran at full sprint from the end of the G concourse with American Eagle to the end of the K concourse to catch my connecting (and last) flight. Made it just in time too.
WTF????? Brazilian bikinis for men?
Depends on your airport. Different airports will have vastly different peak hours depending on the flight schedules. Some smaller airports will definitely be dead around 9pm (I used to live near one), but many like Dubai are just warming up around that time - their peak is 12-2am. SFO is often busy in the evening with…
I always fly as early as possible for one reason - for many flights the same plane is used to go back and forth for popular routes. For example, flights to/from SFO and LA, and SJC and SEA often use one plane that just goes back and forth all day. By the time you add up the small delays throughout the day, the later…
Glad I wasn’t the only person to notice that....
Me neither - usually the motherboard dies or system becomes obsolete first. You’re right about most not being removable.
Yup - as predicted. I have to respect someone who does that though. Then again he has enough money for it.
Reminds me of this classic Fifth Gear segment about Frank Mountain who took an MC-12 on the track. In the snow.
Seatguru is your friend. Depending on the type of aircraft and flight, you can have a better seat in economy than some economy plus. I often see bad reviews for business class seats depending on the configuration.
You’re right about having to go to certain banks, which is a great waste of several hours after filling out paperwork, waiting, etc. I’ve wasted countless hours in Chinese banks exchanging money, which makes spending time at the DMV look like a day at the beach. We eventually fixed that with my wife’s family getting a…
I’ve had issues with places here in the US taking traveler’s checks. They have no idea what they are and I’ve been denied at foreign exchange places abroad too. Thankfully I got rid of the remaining ones I had in Canada.
Huey Lewis often played harmonica and it worked pretty well.
