Only 2 cars? That’s an every day things here in SF on our Bart and Muni subway cars. That doesn’t include elevators and escalators which are always down for maintenance to remove urine and feces. Yes, escalators - it’s that bad here.

Spot on - I have but one star to give.

I worked at a startup company that recently got a ton of funding from a PE firm. None of the current/former investors gave them more money, which is a very bad sign. I hope they make it because their product is good, but I figure they’re going to end up getting bought at a fire sale.

Shot on about Burj Khalifa. Save your money, hit the Armani lounge instead for a similar view. Wild Wadi was a lot of fun, worth a go.

I enjoyed the Dubai Mall, and the dancing fountains were a nice show. I even had a nice dinner seat outside while watching them.

I did a trip there for business school and had a blast. My favorites in no particular order:
1) Burj Khalifa - nice view, although go to the Armani lounge instead (which is only 3 floors below) which is free to visit and also provides booze. Otherwise you end up spending a lot of time waiting.
2) Ski Dubai - just do it.

Ever heard of a CTO?

Agreed - that was fucking lame. What’s the point of putting 0.1 seconds on the clock?

It’s really about time until we start putting senior executives in jail for this shit.

Alex Zanardi is giving him a thumbs up. Good for him.

I prefer one laptop for work, one for personal. Done. I never like having work/personal cross paths, even for emails. All you need is come legal issue to come up and things get ugly.

I have a portable hard drive with the PortableApps suite installed on it for just this purpose. I used to go to the field and work on various systems, but they didn’t have Office installed, so at least I could use LibreOffice off of the hard drive to do what work I needed.

Just another day in Fresno.

I guess things have changed somewhat. Thanks.

That’s what I was taught. Perhaps things have changed? I know that you don’t just crank down on it.

Thank you for posting. That was hysterical to watch!

I was waiting for someone to post that scene. Seriously - we had a dark blue Pinto when I was little, and my parents sold it sometime later.

Maybe they didn’t know she was homeless, or she chose to be homeless in spite of the family reaching out to help. We see a lot of this here in SF.

Because Florida...
