I’ve had a couple from Philz. Great coffee, but I only go there for a one-off. That one with mint you mention is probably the one I have, which is really good.
That should be Tacqueria La Bamba - DOH!
SV is a huge area, so I expect a lot of responses from various places. Most of my time was in Sunnyvale/Mt. View area.
My pleasure. His voice isn’t for everyone but I’ll give him credit. His recipes are down to earth and does a great job of explaining everything.
Just returning the car back to Avis, James Bond style:
I didn’t see the bicyclist until the headlights were on her. By that time there’s not much you can do to slow down, maybe a swerve if you’re lucky. Given it’s on a dark patch of road and the person who got hit was wearing black with no reflectors on the bike just makes it even harder.

I do a lot of cooking at home, and my wife loves coming home from a long work day to a hot cooked meal.

Reminds me of that bus driver called “The Punisher” who rams into idiots who cut him off.
My kind of race! Love it!
This is very common, especially in Asia. I just put a business card in the slot and it’s worked for me. I’m sure it’s elsewhere too, and I can see why they have this in place - it’s to lower electrical costs while no one is in the room.
For me it’s easy:
1) Go to Buena Vista bar in SF
2) Order an Irish Coffee
3) Done.
