Same here in CA - also almost never enforced. Another “feel good” law that was passed by some asshole in Palo Alto.

Here in CA we don’t have inspections, and judging by the number of crap cans I see on the road, we could use them. Then again, be careful what you wish for too...

Someone REALLY fucked up - how do you confuse a taxiway with a runway, especially at SFO, where they’re CLEARLY marked. I can’t wait to see the result of this investigation. I’ll grab the popcorn.

My dad was in IBEW (electrical worker’s union for those who don’t know). His local union office worked out a fair wage for their members, even in bad times. They emphasized the cost savings that the companies would get from the higher quality work, which naturally worked well for their clients.

I’m actually surprised we haven’t seen more of these accidents, especially with flying debris (Wilson and Massa). I don’t think much could be done with Surtees’ accident. That was such a freak event where the wheel landed right on his head.

Way to go grandma!

That’s so wrong and so funny! You get a star!

That video is craptastic - was barely able to make out the yellow “flag” and that one pixel that was the red light. Anyway:
1) The SUV should never have been on the track without checking that it was clear - a track operations problem

3) Did anyone get on the

I’ve known people over the years with HCM, and yes they’re a ticking time bomb. This is why you see runners in peak shape who simply drop dead for no reason.

There was one Starbucks I used to go to where one woman brought in her entire office - computer, printer, monitor, the works. All that was missing was a cubicle wall.

Jesus - I remember this. It was a crappy cartoon but then again it was the 80's.

“If you’re double parked in a bike lane or crosswalk I am legally obligated to smash off your mirrors.”

Damn that’s funny! You get a star!

More stars!

I used to have a 4 hour round-trip commute from SF after my company moved from Mountain View to San Jose. It was brutal because I had to deal with traffic in both directions and there weren’t any good side routes to take. Naturally, no telecommuting allowed, even if only 1-2 days a week.

10 minutes would be generous for Bart/Muni here in the Bay Area. CalTrain would be 30 minutes.
