So... the Zero SR/S is supposed to start at just under 20k. If I’m reading right, assuming I have more than $7500 in tax liability, I can basically get one for 14k? That’s... tempting.

I did not know that. This makes me like the e-Golf ID.3 even more.

So hire people as security rather than fare enforcement?

Rob, these predate the A80 Supra. Those are based on this, rather than the other way around. In fact, that was a major point of contention when the A80 was released- whether it was a good successor to the A70, being that it was significantly bigger, heavier, and handled worse, being based on a GT car, rather than

The drivetrain of these isn’t indestructible. They’re actually fairly expensive to maintain. Like, you’re looking at $1200 to have a shop do the timing belt. Not to mention, the interior is full of old plastics that almost always break when removed and are unobtainable in undamaged condition. I say CP.

I wouldn’t call it “a triumph of backyard engineering”. More like “an example of why you should be required to get a permit before purchasing a welder”

These names suck, but when you’re going up against something like “Fisker Ocean” or “Lucid Air” there’s only so much you can do.

This generation of Z car is probably the least desirable at the moment

Can it do a burnout?

No, you’re wrong. This isn’t a low quality clickbait article- it’s a high quality shitpost.

The other notorious “chick car” is a Mini. Same story there. I own both. Can confirm, I am not a chick.

It’s not really a surprise that this is the stereotype. Subaru lean into it hard and it’s been very lucrative for them.

The world would be a lot better if more people followed the first rule of Twitter: never tweet.

Wheels. OEM wheels tend to be very heavy and make the car ride not as well as one would like.

I remember a reader contest long ago involving a free VW. Never again.

3) It’s just a dressed up Civic Si

That’s exceptionally ugly. I expect that it will sell like crazy.

Why does it have to be “not a civic” again? It’s an Integra, they’ve always been “civic with nicer interior, better base engines, and sometimes a liftback”.

Unfortunately, that isn’t THAT whacky. Loads of models came that way. Notably, every 02-09 Trailblazer with AWD, which is why they all leak oil

The only major issues on the ALH TDIs is cam wear and emissions components. Cam wear is fixed by just... getting a new cam, they’re not that expensive and it’s like a half hour more work to do cam + lifters whenever you do a timing belt. Emissions equipment is mostly caused by wrong oil or misuse. The biggest problem
