So far, he's not going to NBCS, but to the Today show.

Olbermann is terribly overrated too, I'm afraid.
That's an interesting point. "Honor Duels" have a long history going back to medieval Europe, but have traditionally been practiced by the upper classes and almost always only men. Oh, and they were outlawed about 300 years ago. And yet, we see pretty much the same thing in American suburban schools - often among kids…
That's true. Not all poor white people act like this. And, if any of those "real housewife" shows are to be believed, this sort of thing is not confined to people of limited means.
There are loads of people like that on all sides of every issue. They get on the regular pundit circuit so they can sell books and earn big speaking fees. It's a racket. The solution to that is to stop watching cable news.
The problem with letting them work is that it's very very hard for the NCAA to monitor that to ensure some booster isn't paying a star player $1000 a week for two hours of work. It's the same with the rule that got Ohio State in trouble. On the face of it, it seems dumb that they can't sell their own stuff, but if…
The schools themselves can't be trusted to decide what a player is worth. Besides, in our country, what a thing or a job is "worth" is whatever somebody will pay for it, i.e. set by negotiation and/or competition. But the NCAA doesn't allow either of those.
Absolutely. He doesn't understand that just because something makes money does not make it good.
You're flat wrong.
That has been studied and the results are inconclusive.
I don't think they fudge it so much as it varies widely case to case.
Thanks for this. I've often wondered how this accounting works. I'm still not sure I get it.
A few years back, the Bruins had an outstanding series of TV ads featuring a big bear. They should have a new one with the bear mauling a racist masshole.
I liked that game. I also liked the Atari PacMan game. At least for a few months. But then I was really young and got excited for every new Atari game that we got.
Lots of kids screw that up because they're used to seeing those stupid "announcement ceremonies" with the hats. By starting with "the university of ...." the kid imagines he's creating drama an excitement.
It's not the same as batters using it. It's illegal because baseball doesn't allow doctoring the ball. It happens all the time of course, but it's not supposed to. That's not the same at all as making the bat grippier.
But Texas isn't.
You wouldn't know an invalid argument if it bit you in the ass.
Don't preach to me about the C64. We had one. Many memories. The disk drive was so slow. It sure as he'll didn't have a modem.
