It's in eye of the beholder.
Art can be gross.
Where did we get the idea that art has to be nice? Sometimes being offended is exactly the right response to art and exactly the response the artist was hoping to provoke.
We need to be offended because so much of what goes on in reality is offensive.
Until they move to LA, that is.
The Jags might actually want to be on the show just to remind fans they still exist.
I see your point, but I'm not sure about that. I'm inclined to think that kind of arrogance will eventually get a corner in trouble - trying too hard to make an interception and letting the guy get by you, taking bad angles, etc. We've all seen that.
Ideally, a corner - or any player really, but especially a guy in a…
A lot of people - other NFL players especially - are saying things like "this is real emotion! Would you really rather have more boring cliches?" If the two choices for athlete interviews are guys talking shit about their opponents or how "nobody respects them*" and boring cliches, then let's not have athlete…
It's only racist if you put her comment in the context that you insist on putting it, which is not at all the context in which she said it. She didn't mention race in her tweet. You're inferring that based on nothing.

I think the disagreement here is that you're focused too much on that one play and this one game. Certainly, the 49ers didn't lose because of that play. They lost because they didn't make enough plays throughout the game. (Most importantly, Kapernick threw devastating interceptions.)
It's wrong to say the 49ers fans have nothing to complain about. The refs screwed them and it nearly cost the game. Just because the Seahawks managed to give them the ball back anyway doesn't change that.
If I were a coach, I'd encourage my players not to call the opponents by name during preparation. Just know them by number. Don't let them get in your head.
Wrong.
It was very unlikely that the Seahawks would fumble backwards the next day. It was far more likely that the Seahawks would put the game away on the next play. Fortunately karma or the vengeful ghost inside the ball or dumb luck intervened.
Good comeback.
Good comeback.
Maybe it's just me, but I think his comments were just dumb. If Crabtree is such a crappy receiver, then why should we be impressed that he could cover him? That's pretty lame smack.
This is good smack.

No doubt, Sally learned the word "heteronormative" for the first time earlier that week.
This may be the completely wrong way to go about it, but baseball - all sports - need to get rid of steroids. It's not about morals, per se, it's about avoiding a situation where players have to take them in order to stay competitive. Nobody seems to believe me, but it really isn't hard to find a metric shitload of…
