My wife is completely obsessed with Animal Crossing: New Leaf so, of course, she had to pick up Happy Home Designer the day it came out. Since then, she's been excitedly showing me every new house, cafe, and school that she designs. I have to admit that the game is completely charming. You can tell that Nintendo

She's credited as Osha.

What about Okami? That's definitely based on Japanese ink painting. It even has a paper-like texture in the background: http://fextralife.com/wp-co…

"Your mileage may vary."

YMMV

So, this video is actually cleverer than people give it credit for. If you don't believe me, turn on the "English - United States" captions to see a translation of what Hodor and Groot are saying. I laughed pretty hard at Groot's line "I'm a true galactic gangster! Fuck birches, get money!"

I did my best! I voted early and often. Seriously though, as a Madisonian who has been passing Mary Burke signs every day for two months, I feel like the past 24 hours have been like an episode of the Twilight Zone. "Does 52% of my state REALLY want another four years of this shit?" Bah!

Thanks for the trip down memory lane. I agree that modern Magic is more streamlined. They have design and development down to such an art that the sets can start to feel kind of same-y.

This was my favorite TV show of last year and I'm incredibly excited that it's back. I'm just sad that they moved it to Friday nights. It was admittedly a strange fit with NBC's Thursday night comedy lineup, but it was certainly convenient to watch 3 of my favorite shows (Community, Parks & Recreation, and Hannibal)

BioShock 40,000?

Interesting interpretation. I saw the lighthouses in a more hopeful light: "This series could go literally anywhere from here!"

I'm pretty sad about this news. After the majesty of Bioshock Infinite, I was excited to see where Ken Levine would take the series next, but it sounds like that's never going to happen. I hope a good number of the former Irrational staff can find positions at 2K.

Depending on where you live, it might not actually be a "5-minute procedure down at city hall." Here in Wisconsin, for example, you are required to hold an actual scheduled wedding with a licensed officiant, which must be scheduled at least one month after you applied for your marriage license . . . legal fees . . .

I'm glad I'm not the only one.

How about Bob's Burgers, "An Indecent Thanksgiving Proposal"? It's an appropriately Thanksgiving-y episode, it's completely hilarious, AND it includes an absinthe-inspired My Neighbor Totoro montage!

Is that his liar's throne?

Will this fill the hole in my heart that's shaped like Brooke Alvarez?

I'm actually really excited about this, all of a sudden. I had assumed it would be a flawed cash-in—which is what Bates Motel appears to be—but this actually sounds interesting!

This really sucks. I only met him in person once, at a screening of A Hard Day's Night here in Madison, WI, but I always got the impression he was an intelligent, friendly, down-to-earth guy.

Careful now, we don't want to get blood all over your pretty white wifebeater . . .
