To the Japanese (and most of the rest of the world), Americans being freaked out by boobs but excited by bullets is weird.

more like the normalization of guns in the west is weird.
That’s totally fair, but it’s frustrating to see people like AV Club pretend like this is so anomalous while trying to act like entertainment experts.
No, they’d rather quote a bunch of tabloids.
I watched this at the Tribeca Film Festival. It was 100% vapid fan service. More than 50% of the 60 minute documentary was just talking heads (George Miller, Grimes, Guillermo Del Toro, Geoff Keighley, and some rando that i don’t know) all praising his work. Norman Reedus mentions Death Stranding’s plot confused him.
How dare someone pat me on the butt on the set of this DP gangbang film I’m starring in!
Everything on the internet is ephemeral; eventually, greed takes down every site, every service, every game....
this is kind of a bootlicker take. HBO Max didn’t have an easy start but eventually offered more quality content than nearly any other streaming platform. And that would have been without the HBO Max originals like the Flight Attendant which were better than they should have been...with Showtime’s mostly boring…
Keep in mind Garry and Facepunch’s desire to maintain free speech. Sometimes you do have to protect shit you don’t like in order to do it.
The American Civil Liberties Union represented a Nazi group in the 1970s on those grounds. Admittedly, it might not — on the whole — have been the right thing to do, since the march…
Its the circle of outrage. It powers the internet
Another feckless Potter cash in , another outraged Kotaku article.
Yet another line in the sand for self proclaimed “allies” to rally behind so they can pretend they’re doing something other than stroking their own self righteous egos. All while they achieve nothing of consequence for the trans community. And I bet Kotaku is looking forward to a new controversial cow to milk for…
At some point one should separate the art from the artist. It’s OK to simultaneously like the IP, and dislike the creator. They don’t have to go hand in hand. I mean shoot, with that logic you can’t drive a VW because of it’s german origins
I love Charles Martinet in the games but two hours of “let’sa go!” and “it’sa me, Mario” and “mamma mia” and “yah Wah HOO!” would get pretty old. Chris Pratt isn’t perfect but I understand that the studio didn’t want an Italian stereotype joke as the voice leading the whole movie.
Yeah Kotaku is trying really hard to convince that this is going to be a a gamer cultural touchstone movie that somehow is going to legitimize all of our childhoods spent playing videogames. If it’s not treated with the importance and gravitas it deserves it will be a major insult to gaming culture as a whole...
Yeah, Seth says “I dont do voices, you’ll get a DK that sounds like me”
Producers: You’re hired!
I see boobs!
if you look past the blurred email addresses, you can see a space ship.
Sure thing Joseph!
