Agreed, the front reminds me of a catfish.

Anything is a bidet, if you’re brave enough...

Who?

I seem to remember the TG team reviewing the Fiesta recently.

What is that thing? A low-slung crossover? What do they call that? A sloping saloon? CuteCoupeyCUV?

I asked Ford, they don’t know what it is. They deny any knowledge of anything even called a “car”.

Right, it’s all about tradeoffs.

Some have commented: “So Jeep put design over function?!”

No, Jeep engineers and designers battled it out and found compromises. In many cases, the designers’ decisions pushed the math and science nerds to come up with clever solutions. And that’s the fun stuff if you’re an engineer.

As someone with aeronautical and mechanical engineering schooling, this was a great explanation of the tradeoffs that are taken into consideration for vehicle design. Almost every decision made on one part affects other parts and designs. As a whole, vehicles are wicked complicated!

This is Jalopnik at its best. Thank you.

Actually, this explains everything. I enjoy filling my brain with useless knowledge, thanks!

I see what you did there.

Plot twist, the Ford is a Volvo in this case.

Thanks for writing up the highlights and not just posting the videos. Clicking on a post and getting no information other than “watch this video” is tiresome.

The local Jalops are forcing me to renew my research ...

I did not know that was a thing. I just thought they had the old Duratec and EcoBoost options. But I currently have 200hp more with better gas mileage and less curb weight. I’d rather get a Volvo than a Ford these days.

Get it with the turbo six cylinder, 360hp and nice low torque.

This absolute automotive hero got his into the 12's

AND you can still get it with a Twin Turbo V6 with over 350 HP.... Rad.

It is, but then you can argue that crossover are just hatchback/wagons.

That shotgun (essentially a lightweight version of the Saiga) is legally available for plenty of US states.

As frightening as this is, it really shouldn’t surprise anyone....weapons have been attached to unmanned aircraft since they could support the weight.
