I would suggest replacing perfectly good reciprocating pistons with a pair of spinning metal Doritos. All the power of a 4 cylinder, the fuel mileage of a big block, and the emissions if a 2 stroke all in one fragile package!

I am fairly certain those screws are only there for the assembly line. I’ve never run into one I didn’t have to drill out. No I’ve never replaced them, hasn’t been necessary.
