You're wholly missing the point. I'm talking about the transgender community with my identification of the word 'tranny.'

It's not in any way "censoring self identification."

You're another person who's just ignoring the connotation that words take on through their use.

The trouble with "tranny" is that over time it's come to represent the extreme dehumanization and objectification as purely sexual fetish objects of transgender people. That's the word's connotation, and that's not something that can really be changed.
