How is VRAINS? I watched the first bit but just wasn’t getting into it, and put it off for when there was more to catch up on, but I’ve been wondering what people thought of it and where it's been going.

I really need to check out Pillowfort.io again, I took a look and it was interesting but I’m still nervous to actually participate since so much of online fandom is... A mess. Another alternative I think has promise is Writscrib, which is less blogging but more creative work hosting, and I know people who use it as a…
I’m so excited about Donut County, it must be hard to see their concept ripped off like this. It sucks there’s not an easily available solution for situations like this, but it’s just got to be hard. At least personally, the charm is a huge part of what’s had me looking forward to it so eagerly since they announced…
The way I see it, the ideal goal is to automate jobs so actual humans can focus on things like art, or humanitarian projects. Essentially freeing up some of mankind’s time by taking some of the menial chores off our plates and giving us time to explore and use higher thinking. That’s what automation has done in the…
This makes me kind of regret my decision not to import this game. I knew this was coming but it’s somehow better than I imagined
You know, that’s really smart, I have such a hard time separating it from the social aspect I guess? But there’s really no reason not to just use it that way instead. Thanks for sharing that! :)
If watching people play games is fun for you or if you like hanging out with strangers, then sure. I gave Twitch a try and found it stressful, it’s not for everyone. Glad you have those moments though, that is pretty cool to have a record of that!
Really? Tumblr and Reddit don’t count as exhausting? I spend a good deal of time on both and they’re both just about as bad as Twitter in my opinion, although I guess that depends where you go, but I find the negativity hard to avoid on either. Tvtropes is a solid recommendation though, probably my favorite time…
So is this any worse than most f2p games? I haven’t given it a try so I’m wondering. I personally don’t mind the pauses usually, being given a game that I can play for a few minutes at a time is absolutely fine for breaks in between other things, especially since it’s free. But if this one is worse than others, I’d…
This seems like a pretty good commentary on people who believe in kindness coins and friend zones and that being a decent human being entitles you to whatever you want, but it just doesn’t really seem like it’s about dating sims. Of course those games work that way, because those aren’t real people, they’re part of a…
I’d read about this before but I didn’t know about that, thanks for sharing! I think that’s awesome, in that case everyone wins.
It’s not really “for” the characters though, the people who send it in are generally (if not all, I hope) completely aware these people don’t exist. It’s for the staff, a thank you for creating something they enjoy and care about, and showing then how much people enjoy the stories and characters. I see your point in…
No offense taken, that’s fair, a lot of people overreact and you can’t discuss this without spoilers, and I think you did a good job of being vague in the article for sure! I’m just saying the cover picture tells you both the location and narrows the victim down to 7 out of the 16 cast members, and that’s without…
Good article! Might wanna change the header pic though, it’s kind of a spoiler.
Hey, they never said their employees couldn’t be actually married as well, and it’s a little silly to assume they all wouldn’t be just because they have otaku interests. Extra days off and pay in Japan is pretty good for any reason, too. I think jumping to negative conclusions might be going too far for something…
Okay but does anyone have any tips on how *not* to do this instead? I’ve gotten really good at getting other people to talk and avoiding anything personal but when you can’t ever turn it off things get boring fast.
I hope someone just comes along and makes an alternative platform specifically for adult material before this can blow up on anyone. Patreon can keep a good reputation and people who don’t want to see those kinds of games don’t have to, but the people who make a living off of them and enjoy them still would have a…
I was so expecting that MMO one to be a standard cute girl in high school type of story from the title, I’m just so surprised it’s not. Kinda glad, nothing wrong with that genre but there’s just so much of it, good to see a little variety.
As someone who agrees with most of the original comment minus the negative tone it took, I have to add that is EXACTLY how I feel about people watching sports. I accept that people like it and it makes them happy and that’s great, both for streaming and sports, but I will never understand it myself.
Amigara Fault was ruined for me because the friend who showed it to me mistook the “DRR” sound effect for “DDR”, and we both couldn’t stop thinking about these stretched out misshapen people just being obsessed with Dance Dance Revolution. I have to assume it’s scarier when that’s not how it’s introduced.
