They can do it, and it doesn’t have to be a loss. Build a new SS on the Omega platform. Price it $10k under the CT6.

My only concern is how do you throw a V8 in it, and a) not cannibalize CT6 sales or b) not price it too high. I think an Omega-based SS with the 6.2L V8 for $50k would sell decently, though.

I do get why someone would want a midsize truck instead of a fullsize - I want one! Unfortunately, these so-called midsize pickups are too big. 85% of a Silverado for 100% of the price? Unless you’re really into the slightly smaller size, or maybe you’re going to offroad it, the full-size pickups are a better buy.
