The Catholic Church has hired Barbra Streisand as their spokesperson.

Right? “His sexual needs were his sexual needs.” I can’t even wrap my head around how a person can just say that when the “need” in question is sex with children. Children’s needs—safety, not being raped, not having a trusted adult manipulate and abuse them—greatly outweigh whatever sexual needs Jackson had.

We, uh, bring emergency snacks for our kids in the event that we can’t get an appetizer for them right away. Restaurants don’t seem to mind; I think they understand that we’re keeping them calm, not trying to nickle and dime them.

When my brother and I were kiddies many, many years ago, my parents would feed us dinner at home first. Then we’d go out and my parents would eat dinner and we’d get chocolate cake or an ice cream sundae.
