So, every alphabet key is looked at as “1u”. A “standard” bottom row is all 1.25u keys and a 6.25u spacebar. Anything outside of that is deemed “non-standard” and is harder to work with.

IIRC, Corsair uses a 6.5u spacebar that no aftermarket manufacturer I can think of even makes, as well as varying ctrl/alt sizes.

Corsair in general is not fine if you want aftermarket keysets though.
