Here’s what I learned: that a Planetary Gear has nothing to do with planes (as in flat surfaces) and is actually named that because its movement resembles the rotation of planets around the sun (gear)(!). I’m actually familiar with the sun gear as well but never put the twotogether. Thanks interwebs!
