A hate crime is a specific type of crime. It’s something you do against someone because of the category of person they are (a woman, black, gay, etc), not because of circumstance or other situational things.

Dr. Luke has not been convicted of any crime—-thus far. The judge’s language does not “acknowledge” any rape because a court of law has not determined that a rape has occurred.

I imagine, given the prevalence of crpyto-puff pieces like this, that the faux outrage to a pre-planned and still-flattering photoshop pic like this is EXACTLY what their managers and publicity people are being paid for.
