Are Pandas in?
So touching in Cabaret, to some of us a movie as well as a lounge-act.
Is there anything more romantic than a love-match?
At ten? No.
Can anything posted here be deemed important?
Astutely written. Thank you. Few people truly realise what they’re looking at when they’re looking at her monarchy.
No pillory. Yes. We are the World, We are the Children. Totally. Which is why it’s just plain silly.
I’m still laughing. This will always make me laugh. Always. Several of those “looks” aren’t authentic anyway, they’re staged for the (paying), original photographer. The Fula one just kills me. Dead. Is this that journalist who tripped up the refugees? Because really, Hungary? Really? Troll Nation.
I’ll have to see the film to make a judgment on this because bad taste was always a motif of that show.
A tour of the worlds dictatorships is always a chantoosy thing to do for a big fat fee - they can all be hired. Whitney croaked her way around the Stans years after her voice became a crime against humanity. I still cherish this;
That’s just... Disgusting.
it’s an abomination. yes.
Journalism is just PR on so many levels now. look at all the lifestyle pieces, personality columnists and puff pieces for the writers’ other income streams. Celebs have never been more commodified, with each trailing a matrix of commercial endorsements, contractual obligations and morals clauses, how much candour can…
one would be so limiting.
Not what I said, obfuscation should be used sparingly or yes, it clearly implies stupidity. Our every comment and action is mitigated by a legal system and you are accountable for everything you say and do, that it is so is largely due to those with a belief in unicorns. It’s a mistake to wholly embrace nihilism in…
One either supports those who intentionally abuse a person’s colour, race, nationality, ethnic or national origin, religion, or sexual orientation, or one opposes them. There are no fundamental rights, none at all, civil and human rights are those defined in law, subject to legal censure and penalty where infringed…
We are free to say whatever we want, but I believe that its use to intentionally harass, alarm, or distress individuals by abusing that person’s colour, race, nationality, ethnic or national origin, religion, or sexual orientation should bear a penalty, financial, or in the form of a criminal record, and in extremity,…
Speech is one thing, its use to intentionally harass, alarm, or distress individuals by abusing that person’s colour, race, nationality, ethnic or national origin, religion, or sexual orientation is another. I believe the capacity to express bigotry should be policed, you don’t. That’s fine, we do not need to agree.
No. They know. Words of that type have meaning because, when it comes to hate, they’ve tended, historically, to lead to actions. Whether you feel that matters depends on which side of the fence you’ve traditionally sat on.
That opinion very much depends on whether you are the victim of it I’d assume.
