Over 90 percent of all Ferraris ever produced are apparently still on the road  sitting in climate controlled garages.

We already live in this world. Used Model 3 Plaids are getting into the high $40s. That’s not even getting into the cheap/plentiful Hellcats, which while not quite 1,000hp are firmly in the “way too much power to be wielded by morons” land.

To be fair, $30k in 1997 is about $60k now. This was a pretty nice ride in ‘97.

I’m not normally a litigious person, but I would absolutely sue the dealership for this.  If I’m test driving a car, I’m obviously assuming the dealer has complied with license plate rules.  You’re telling me I’m supposed to verify they’ve put the plate on the car and the registration is current and all that?  I’m

“Safety Issue” = Underworked cops with a ticket quota

There are a lot of blanket answers here, but here’s a more specific one: Any 2012-2018 Ford Focus or Fiesta with the DPS6 dual-clutch transmission. It’s a shame, because they’re otherwise really good economy cars, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend an ST or a base model with a manual transmission. The used car

Come on - A significantly updated 3 was released this year. And a significantly updated Y will be released next year. That said, there are plenty of other reasons to avoid a Tesla, some of which are unique to Tesla (e.g., the bozo at the helm, bozo-required minimalist interior), but some that are characteristic of all

You picked the Gladiator for legitimate reasons, but I’ll pick ANY Stellantis vehicle. In the last decade, I’ve had four that everyone of their transmission went out in. You’d think at least ONE might break 100K miles without a new trans.

Disaster planning is expensive. Cheaper to just lose a pile of cars every 100 years than have something that can withstand a storm that is so infrequent.

Remember when Obama was inaugurated? Ram had already been building the truck currently known as the Ram 1500 Classic for several months before he was even sworn in. It isn’t just old — it’s old old.

They might not care about the cars, but they care about money... it’s way cheaper to have cars for sale than to have all of your cars scrapped, have nothing to sell while waiting for new cars, and also go through all the time and paperwork for the insurance company...

The building codes changed for residential after Andrew blew through in ‘92.

At some point, SURELY some people will start to realize that building and buying houses near the FL coast is a pretty bad idea. When I was a kid the only older houses I recall seeing near the beach were ones made out of concrete and cinder blocks. None of the newer McMansions they built ever since will stand a chance.

The time is coming up fast when gas station employees will start to evacuate. Especially if they have kids.

Oh - and it’s not like we have other options to evacuate. The airports are shut down and we don’t exactly have mass transit.

The wild thing is how quickly the highways devolved. I was just in Florida on Saturday and the roads were clear, same with Atlanta when I was driving through on Sunday. By Monday, I heard from my connections down south that I-75 turned into a parking lot, which is nutty. Seems I somehow got in and out of Florida

“Estimate the Cybertruck value, HAL.”

How long did it take to take that blood sample?  It was higher than 0.67 at the time of the arrest.  He’s driving after having been drinking, putting his seatbelt on while the vehicle is in motion.  Sounds like pulling over to investigate makes sense.  Refusing to perform a sobriety test kind of limits the cops

At least in the states I have lived, refusing a sobriety test is treated as a failure. I’ve seen the online “advice” that if you think you’ll fail the sobriety test, you should refuse it and delay as long as you can for the blood test in hopes that it will take multiple hours to get there so your body has more time to
