I took delivery of a fully loaded white Core about 2 weeks ago and I share the same sentiments. It’s a phenomenal car that harkens back to the 2000s when STis and EVOs ruled the roost. It feels old school and new school at the same time. The new school stuff is mostly imperceptible to the driver. The engine shakes and

I’m in Toronto, and live about 2.5km from a street that’s relatively-walkable (it’s an older neighbourhood, pre-WWII constructions, so modern zoning/parking requirements don’t apply) - it is always busy with families, seniors, etc. shopping and dining.

This is such an American issue. The rest of the world has many car-free areas

Or drive around wasting gas for 10 minutes searching for a spot just so they can park 50 feet closer to the mall.

Yeah I love cars too, but I hate the simple cost of owning and operating them. If I didn’t need to have a car, I wouldn’t have a car despite my affinity for them.

Maybe. But I can spitball right back, that if there’s a specific cause in the contract that stipulates WHERE they park their cars, then it’s pretty obvious they anticipate that enough people will own them to make it a problem.

Yeah, but *some* people will own cars and people who don’t live in the community who own cars will still have to access it. For example, when family visits for the holidays or parties. Bloomberg doesn’t say where those cars have to go. I also checked the site for the community and I didn’t find information there,

I don’t agree that ‘A majority of Americans’ want car free neighborhoods, but I think a lot of people do, and even more would like ‘car-light’ or ‘car optional’ neighborhoods.

Cities can change. We don’t have to keep making car ownership mandatory. I love cars but I hate commuting in them.

As a frequent driver of the Capitol Beltway, I have always observed a marked difference in policing between the Virginia State Police and the Maryland State Police. In Virginia, they will let you exceed the speed limit by about 10 mph. In Maryland, they will make shit up and ticket you for it. I know this from

I’m glad he did it pro bono, because $7500 to go into court and say “you can’t break a law that doesn’t exist” seems a bit steep.

These have always seemed very French to me for some reason. Sort of like a modernized DS/CX/C6 hybrid. They have a quiet elegance that I think is missing from other EV luxury sedans, which have mostly seemed to go the route of outright performance. If I was a useless rich bastard in the market for something like this

With that mileage, the seller’s price is just under what a comparable Taycan from a dealer, with CPO coverage, would be. It’s not excessive, but if you’re prepared to spend $80k on a used car, I think spending a little extra for that protection is worth it.

Before I read the article, I just want to say - When NP or ND is late I get worried about what’s happened to Rob. I know that one day he won’t be there anymore, but I pray that this is not that day.

Not a Real Porsche

I like to keep the switches un-labeled for this very reason. It’s also good to hide one switch, like the fuel pumps, so that even if someone just turns on ALL the switches, they’d be missing one.

You’re probably pretty close.

I was thinking the same thing as a younger millenial (born between ‘90 in ‘95). The general vibe I’ve gotten is I’m the weird one for even knowing who Lenny Kravitz is.

No kidding. I’d be surprised if most Gen Z’ers even know who he is.

Seems to me like Amazon is playing a long game for acquiring Rivian at deflated market values.
