Or to make it even simpler - still shorter than a Tahoe, or roughly the same size as a Highlander.

Being a millennial, I didn’t have much experience with “vintage” cars. I cut my teeth on fuel injected cars with synchonized transmissions, not knowing the luxuries I had. One day I had the opportunity to drive a 1965 Mustang Fastback that still had the carburetor and manual steering/brakes.

One of my friends moved here from Switzerland and bought one immediately. I asked him why and he said he could have never afforded one there due to the taxes and fuel costs and that in his eyes the styling and engine are basically as close to owning a vintage muscle car without all of the old car hassles. He LOVES

I got two “I love your car!” comments from people at 11pm tonight about my ‘18 Scat Pack. I rarely go even a day or two without someone asking me about it or saying they love it. I have to admit, I love the thing, even when the trunk lid conks me on the head when the temp is below about 20F. It did it this morning and

As a heavy-duty DIYer and owner of a 100-year-old house, I wouldn’t want to do with anything less than than the full width 6.5' long bed I have on my old F150 Supercab. I regularly haul lumber and 4X8 sheets of shit, and having stuff hang over a tiny 4' bed would be far less than optimal. And the first time you gotta

I’m not a fan of pickup trucks to begin with but I’m always puzzled by the small ones. You can’t feed a sheet of plywood in the bed, you can’t fit people inside either. Who is this really for? College kid that needs to move a la-z-boy?

The thing they have in common is these are all cars that buyers likely only had that car on their list. Including the Toyota Rav4 Prime, since they were probably mostly already loyal Toyota customers and saw the new vehicle and specifically wanted that.

I think I’ll save the $30 and get the faster, nicer, and overall better car. Hard ND from me.

I was going to be NP... then I noticed the bypassed smog pump and no catalytic converters.

You can buy a brand new 2023 Ecoboost Mustang for $200 more that will beat this old piece of shit in every metric. At least old muscle cars are interesting to look at.

They should have let it go for the 17k on BaT. That’s probably the best chance at someone with NFG-money sale that they’re going to get.

trolling? yes look at every bid on BAT or CAB for a Porsche and these dorks end it with 911, 991, 987, 986

An actual, true-to-its-name shitbox. We think getting kids cheap cars is a great idea until the safety features on them (or lack thereof) are completely blindsided by a soccer mom in a Suburban texting behind the wheel, doing 30+ over what she should be on her way to get a unicorn frappuccino from the local Starbucks.

Parents aren’t supposed to have a favorite child, but many do. They also shouldn’t make it so obvious which one is their favorite, but sometimes they do.

My high school whip was not a wagon, but the back seat was wide enough to lay across almost fully stretched out.  Was like an extra-wide loveseat, and I made sure to test it out plenty.

Anything super reliable.

Oh no, they figured out the correct car for their 16 year old daughter; not for their 16 year old son. They should have just bought him a Cruze too. A fully loaded Camaro at 16, and twice. SMH.

Anything other than a lightly-used sedan or small CUV made between 2010 and now.

No “specialty” vehicles. No sports cars, sport compacts, off-road-focused SUVs. They will wreck it. “But I taught them how to—” Nope, stop right there. They will wreck it. Listen to my words. It’s not a question of if, nor a judgement on

Any car. I was willing to loan my kids money to buy a car, and help them with the buying process, and set them up with a repayment plan with 0% interest. If they didn’t want to buy their own car, I made sure there was one for them to drive to/from work , sports, and to go out with their friends. I did not, and will

Anything rwd. It’s cliché, but even my old Volvo 740 got sideways a few times in bad weather. If you don’t understand car control, it’s easy to end up facing the wrong way on a highway, or in a ditch.
