I really really like it. I wish this had been around in March when I was looking for a Volt replacement. Only gripe is that they didn’t call it the RX-30, seems like a missed opportunity. And it would be very interesting to see what they could do with the bigger EV battery and a small rear-axle motor for eAWD. I’m

The Gadgetmobile

I’m honestly more impressed with modern tires than I am the entire car. The fact that Koenigsegg just took some off the shelf Michelins and ran over 280mph is wild to me, and being able to withstand forces of 0-60 under 3 seconds with the increased weight of EVs.

It’s doing poorly because executives are leaving and it’s missing production targets that are hurting it’s stock price.

$2500 extra for a really cool and fairly unique color from the factory is actually quite cheap. People pay more for a wheel upgrade. I would definitely pay an extra $2500 for one of these colors.

The Ford Edge is an incredibly underrated vehicle. Good to see it still alive.

Not that shocking, Automakers have been tossing out pedestrian offerings for the masses for over a century now, and they sell a lot of them because the majority of people don’t care. And, us enthusiasts are a fickle lot that complain even when we are given approximately what we’ve asked for.

It’s a percentage. In 2011 low income people were not buying new cars, only rich people were. These things would make a lot more sense if they gave the actual number of people.

Yes, a stock Coyote truck would absolutely stomp this pile. And a tuned EcoBoost would embarass this guy, his mom, and his third grade teacher.

Technically speaking, cars today offer more value for the same money(adjusted for inflation) today.

I have had multiple “no markup” Acura dealers commit to selling me a Type-S at MSRP, albeit not on paper yet until official pricing is released. We’ll see.

I am very frustrated with my 1994 300ZX at the moment. Three trips to my mechanic to fix the AC, each time some minor fix works for 12 hours then it’s back to blowing hot air. No resolution in sight and my mechanic has basically given up so now I need to find a new one. I love this car but the problems are endless.

When I went to basic training there was a class on how to brush your teeth. Seriously.

We’ll get more slideshows on Jalopnik despite the entire website begging not to.

I completely agree about not stretching finances with a high monthly auto loan. However, $1000/mth isn’t as crazy a number as it used to be. Monthly housing prices for many are not very high, and many salaries can easily support that type of payment, so it’s not too much of a pinch for many people to commit to that

Perhaps they are people who want an electric car with proper body panel gaps?

Agreed on the noise of the FA series engines... When I first got my 2013 BRZ (replacing a ratty 2nd/3rd/4th-hand Celica GT), I thought the car was doing its best impression of “truck engine.” Even the 1ZZ-FE in the Celica sounded better. Not sure if that’s a boxer thing, or just a Subaru thing.

You must be around some shitty dealers, because I bought mine a year ago with no mark up and the other 3 people I know who got one in the last year also paid no mark ups. The trick is to just order one instead of trying to find one on the lot.

I drove a new one around for a few days from a turo rental and came away thoroughly unimpressed by the total package. It wasn’t comfortable, wasn’t particularly fun to drive in everyday applications, and overall just not a super nice place to exist.

I had some schmuck try to tell me that was a lie, because a stock split meant Tesla stock was still worth more than it was in the start of the year.
