From a quick search, the entire loop road around Yellowstone is 140miles. I don’t think they will have a problem. Most trucks will be returning regularly to a station where they can be plugged in. 120v charging would likely cover half of the Forest Service fleet, and basic home 240v service would cover 90% and let get

I’ve got a bad feeling about this. Lightning and forests sound like a bad combination.

Well shit, now I want a Lightning in Forest Service minty green.

Lightnings and electric Transit vans are already seeing Ag use in the local wine industry. Ford & PG&E have a working partnership in Sonoma County... something to the order of a half-dozen vineyards are part of their test bed, one just a few miles from the house here. Probably something to do with commercial-scale

$25,000 in 1995 is $48,886.48 in today’s dollars.

Note the LATCH positions. If the rear-facing seat is correctly positioned in the middle, its LATCH straps are crossing on top of the outer seats’ buckle receivers.
There is no magic bullet skinny booster seat that solves this problem, full stop. If he compromised on safety and buckled the rear-facing seat in with the

Not only that, but you can slap them on any running freight train as well!*

Does this mean that now I’ve got to go around to gas pumps plastering them with Joe Biden “I did this” stickers?

If I’m reading the OP correct, he’s got a 6yo, 5yo, plus a 3month old. You can’t stick a baby seat and two carseats into the back of an Accord.

$70k gets you a lot of Acura MDX.

The high-end subdivisions around me are chock full of Telluride’s. Every time I see one, I have a split second where I think it’s something that costs twice as much. Telluride is the answer.

I mean, I think we’re going to see (have already started to see?) a big drop in Tesla demand based on Musk revealing himself to be a madman with the Twitter acquisition. I know I wouldn’t trust any car made by a company he runs at this point.

Stellantis wants to get it dealers ready for EVs? Funny - maybe they should start by getting them ready for the very traditional stuff they’re already selling.

Looking at the way Musk has run Twitter into the ground, I can’t imagine anybody feeling comfortable buying a car made by a company he runs.

I don’t think it’s just the price issue, to be honest.

The second they went public everyone knew this would happen. You can only be a trailblazer for so long, then you have to compete. Turns out legacy automakers actually know what they’re doing.

weren’t there stories just this year about dealerships not allowing buyouts because the resale values were so high? i’d imagine that ran at least some people off of the idea of leasing.

They probably did that’s why so few new leases.

A lot of leasers got burnt back at the height of the car shortage. Their leases were running out but they couldn’t find a new replacement car.
