Considering the 400-horsepower Nissan Z starts at $42,970, and the 486-hp 5.0-liter Mustang can be had for $42,460, the Supra is still a pretty hard sell to the enthusiast.

Unless you’re in the market for a car with an automatic that doesn’t suck, or a 14 second quarter mile sports car is too slow for you.

If the 4cyl supra was priced closer to the 86 it would have made a ton of sense

Unfortunately, when Tesla’s value does fall, it’s regular people with 401ks that will bear the bulk of the losses.

It’s a fundamental truth that, when optimizing a ratio, the denominator is where the focus will go. Driving that denominator to zero pushes the result to infinity.

Don’t sell a business you built until you’re ready to quit.

Said that after 14 hours in a Prius, his back hurt too much.

Given perfect examples are in the quarter million range, I can see why someone thinks they can get $50k for a questionable one.

These cars are having a resurgence right now. An example just sold at BJ for $250k!! These things were kind of a bastard child 10 years ago and you could get them for relative peanuts.

I’ll put my money on the rock-hard suspension and how the owner is fed up with it.

Get a Prius.

Yea but the 5.0s are just so much more fun though. On E-85, they are hard to beat on a roll.

Something both those cars have is a bubble/squared roof, not fast back/sloping like a lot of coupes

Honestly, it was probably faster and just didn’t feel like it. The rental-spec tires and 87 octane fuel probably held it back a lot too.

I honestly can’t think of a single 2 door car I have owned that has usable back seats.

Unfortunately, the Mustang is let down by steering feel that’s so dead it may as well be a steer-by-wire system. There’s no communication whatsoever between the wheel and what the front tires are doing.

The 124 does have higher max torque, though.

Counterpoint: The Supra looks and sounds better. I rest my case.

There is 0 turbo or anything in the rear. I’m not even convinced those velocity stacks have actual NOS piped to them (or even go into the intake). I don’t see a purge valve under the hood, nor any switches or buttons on the interior for activating the system (and there’s no picture of the tanks).

I just looked at the pictures on FBM... Is that a FAKE ROLLBAR? It looks like it’s just sitting on the carpet unattached to anything.
