Ugh...words mean nothing anymore.

These things sucked at autocross.

I owned a Mk4 GTI and let’s just say the owner wasn’t missing much by letting this sit. This platform was by far the worst handling out of anything in the segment. Early Haldex units were garbage and didn’t add much to the experience. And frankly, the VR6 was not very competitive, even compared to other VW products. A

If someone totaled my Supra, I’d probably get on the wait list for a 911 Carrera T.  I’ve always wanted one and I’ve been kicking myself for not getting one at a steep discount in 2019.

You can not like flippers but also not like massive companies blatantly violating well-established consumer protection laws under the guise of fighting them.

On what grounds does this feel even remotely illegal?

This punishes everyone.

This is straight up illegal per Magnuson-Moss. Warranty coverage cannot be limited to the first purchaser nor can it come with certain pre-conditions.

ODB-II regulations and associated SAE standards are specific to emissions equipment. So yes, EVs are exempt, however, most (maybe all) EVs have ODB-II ports.

You still need specialized software to do anything meaningful on ICE cars. Especially with newer (<5 years old) vehicles.

CVT and fun is borderline impossible.

Rather than a turbo, the best mod would be to focus on the batteries and electric motors.

The old Prius was fun to drive on the right tires too. People shit on the old car, but it was still a 2900lb hatchback. The biggest issue with beating one on the backroads was that the cooling on the battery wasn’t up to providing peak power for minutes on end.

ND all day. The M60 had terrible reliability when new. I can’t imagine how bad one would be after all these years of service.  I bet this breaks down catastrophically in the first year of ownership.

This is still better than the BOSS302 Leguna Seca package.  Holy hell, those red accents were terrible.

Someone in the market for a Demon 170 has gobs of cash laying around anyway. This is for the guy who already has a Charger Hellcat, a Challenger 392 scat pack, a Challenger Demon, a Ram TRX, and a few classic Mopars in their gigantic garage.

There’s no such thing as bad publicity really does hold true.

This car isn’t 400 grand special.

I learn stuff from warning labels.

The report of my death was an exaggeration.
