Buy a GR86 and show Nissan there’s a case for small sports cars.

I’d be ecstatically in line to purchase one.

I’m going to be a contrarian and predict that this slowdown in EVs is going to be fuel for future growth.

To me the question changed. It was “high Mileage Hero” and then it became a “forever car”. These are two different vehicles.

But you could have also spotted my vehicles on countless off road trails on a Saturday.

And here I thought Big Oil was all anti-EV and was responsible for holding back GM from producing a 100MPG Silverado because it would cut into their profits too much.

You see, my actual recommendation is a Nissan 370Z. They have a lot more headroom and legroom than you might expect,

Oddly, someone at NHTSA signed off on this?

I have my doubts. FWD coupes are a “hard no” for too many people and Honda seems to be allergic to AWD on sporty cars with Honda badges.

Basically the light end for coupes is 3500lbs these days, with most hovering around 2 tons with all options.

A) Dreaming on concept cars is a sure fire path to sadness. Japanese cars never, ever, ever look like the concept. People still complain about how watered down the VA WRX and Mk5 Supra are compared to the concepts. And people around here are still dreaming of the IDx concept.

I don’t think anything modern will last 50 years. Most of the non-metal components of modern cars have to be biodegradable and that stuff probably start degrading in 30 years. Those million plastic connectors will be brittle and will disintegrate the moment you remove them to fix anything.

It probably is a Civic coupe.  The old Prelude was an Accord coupe.

Except those cars share no major styling elements.

That’s the price we pay for using credit cards. Where do you think those “rewards” come from? Most companies roll CC fees into the price.

These things have crazy amounts of character though, which is exactly the kind of thing people look for in old cars.

NP but I’m biased.  I love these things.

Subaru hasn’t made a coupe of any flavor since the Impreza went sedan-only twenty three years ago.

like, the market has crashed several times in my fairly short life,

Worst advice: RECOMMEND A ENTHUSIAST CAR TO A NON CAR PERSON.
