I don’t think this was a two-years-long grudge.

but Occam’s razor would suggest the gentleman in question probably suffered some brain damage in his recent car crash (it was serious enough to total his car) and that,

I’d still take a 4Runner over this (or a Rav4 if I had to have a crossover).

Pretty much every car review around here contains lazy jokes. It wouldn’t be Jalopnik without them. Jeeps mall crawl, Mustangs run over pedestrians, BMW turn signals are irrelevant, you can’t get the vape smell out of GTIs, Priuses can’t go over the speed limit in the left lane, etc.

Agreed 99%.

Can it pull trailer at all? Small one, I do not need to pull supertankers around?

How do people keep missing this fact?

They need to start charging the management and owners of these towing companies.  RICO these fuckers.

These things are terrible.

The C-max is a great vehicle. Very under-appreciated though. Even though Ford and Toyota share the same hybrid tech.

I don’t disagree, but I’m a little surprised you’d be so blunt.

Get a Rav4 hybrid.

Locking down software and hardware so people and third party tuning shops can’t make changes, including upgrading power output, is not fine.

I love this.  It reminds me of a hardcore RR.

GM does the same thing for their ICE drive trains too. The Colorado has a $400 tune available from dealerships that bump power.  Ford offers factory tunes for a few vehicles.

The ID.4 RWD has a 5-60 in the 7.5s in 200hp, 4700lb form, which is roughly the power to weight this thing has. That’s substantially faster than a 5.3L Tahoe (mid 8s, 5-60).

HOWEVER.. you do mention something that concerns me. How to overnight charge?

Heck, I think you save some time with an EV. I always fill up first, then move my car to the secondary lot before going into the store. Being able to plug my car in, then go directly into the store would be nice.

This is exactly the kind of car where the stick shift adds value.
