I see your Rule #2 and raise you the...

My wife would say this:

Quick answer S197 Mustang that revived the pony car war

While I think other submissions (PT, Prius) are more iconic, I think one flew a little under the radar: The Lexus RX 350

The V6 Altima was pretty desirable in the enthusiast scene. I lusted over them when I was younger - 270HP with a six speed manual in a family car (or coupe) in an era where a Mustang GT made 260? Sign me up.

Agreed, I don’t see why you wouldn’t upgrade a sports car to the best tire on the market.

Next time I’ll go with 245s or 255s because there’s still so much room left on that wheel. It may impact range a bit but it won’t be an issue.

I’m not sure rich people care.  Plug-in hybrids are faster and these cars are all about flashy dick waving.

I’m not really a “jeep person”, but I’d drive the fuck out of a 392.

Hopefully there’s evidence connecting them to out-of-state thefts and this becomes a federal case.

Are they ever going to fix the drive lines and braking zones being completely wack?

I’m pretty sure you didn’t need to own one to get the previous generation race cars either. The dealer I bought my Mustang from had a 302R for sale. This wasn’t even a large fancy dealership, it was in the middle of nowhere and was still rocking wood paneling from at least 1970s, cigarette smoke stains and all.

Bring back wood paneling!

Replace your cabin filter. Most are <$20 and can be replaced in 30 seconds. I’m sure someone has a ride that requires disassembly of the dash to get to the cabin filter, but every car I’ve owned has been pretty easy.

This is not far from the truth.  I bought a new Toyota this year and had to wait like six months for it.

A helical one, like you’d find in the CTR.

The benefit of an LS crate motor is that it comes with all of the electronics you need to throw it into anything and have it run. If it’s a new car, you just need a few adapters to get the speedo, tach, gas & temp gauges working.

Out of 3.4L in the 90s. The 96 Mustang GT made 215HP out of a brand new 4.6L.

The 3.5 Twin turbo SHO is also a super under rated sleeper. 365hp and 0-60 in the high 5's.
