Prius will never compete with the GTI or Elantra N. Even if Toyota shoved the Rav4 Prime drivetrain into one, giving it a sub 5s 0-60, it’s still a Prius.

I’d be surprised if we are getting a direct replacement, EV or otherwise. The sixth-gen didn’t come close to the sales figures of the fifth-gen, and by the end, even Corvette was outselling it.

If only the view from the drivers seat wasn’t so “pillbox”, it may have been easier to live with.
