People complain about this, but I have to wonder how much of it is “i hate being stuck behind a Prius” and not about how fast they are going. I have one and regularly drive 85 when I can, but sometimes I’ll go up to 95 or so when I’m on a stretch of road that I know cops can’t/don’t monitor.
Some people don’t care what other people think of the vehicle they drive.
I commute a Gen1 Insight and there is absolutely zero reason it should still be the king of MPG.
This, Toyota says, is enough to propel the new Prius from 0 to 62mph in 6.7 seconds.
a BMW 330i isn’t much more,
The Sienna is fucking nice man. The Odyssey is pretty good too.

Fun? Surprising? Fact: my old ST230 Celica would fit up to 108"x25" items with the passenger seat removed and the hatch would still close. I’m not exactly sure the max height of an object, since I mostly used to haul around wood. But that’s still apparently 18" more than this SUV can manage. Granted, no passenger…
A rear-wheel-drive liftback sedan doesn’t really fit cleanly into Kia’s lineup even if it’s a fantastic car.
what?
BEVs also mean higher load floors. Which means taller cabins for the same interior volume, which means hoods look kind of silly and need to be raised.
9.5minutes at redline. An ignition event occurs every fourth revolution. I did the math somewhere else.
But the engine did show 18,202 ignitions between 7,300 and 7,900 rpm, which August explained is a lot.
majority of people who buy his cars are progressives.
PHEV = all the extra weight of the ICE powertrain + all the extra weight of the BEV powertrain
