Americans treat a driver’s license as a right, not a privilege.

This idea that “strict licensing requirements” is some magic solution only comes from people who don’t get it (and assume that it won’t prevent them from driving). Without viable public transportation, people have to drive. Whether they have a license or not is not really a factor in whether they will drive.
This thing looks like a Cavalier with a “Ferrari” body kit.
GM doesn’t decide the vehicle class size definitions, the various government agencies do (the EPA for fuel economy related classification).
That’s surprisingly slow. I mean, it’s fast in absolute terms, but that’s about as fast as a Durango 392 with 200 fewer horsepower. Granted, the Durango is like 5500lbs, but that’s not a crazy weight difference.
I’m surprised they didn’t add in a exhaust flap like most other performance cars have now.
What are folks’ stories surrounding this engine?
The GT-R is fucking expensive. It has gone from $70k to $115k base.
There’s no way you find a running six speed LS F-body for under $15k. A clean example was $20k pre pandemic. The tremec transmissions alone are worth thousands.
In a modern car, they are pointless. Which is probably why so few even have them. Mine has a digital one buried in the settings menu, but I never use look at it because, well it’s pointless.
I’ve been wanting one since they were released, and $10k premiums were basically the minimum you were going to have to pay to get one. And that was long before the covid shortages hit.
one might say the Chevy Volt was (and is) the right product in the wrong wrapper.
Is this thing actually usable or should people who need utility move up to the CX-50?
My car friends and I cross-shopped between cars that cost $20k to $60k, coupes, sedans, hatches, FWD, AWD, RWD, etc. Didn’t matter
This would have been an utter failure. Effeminate art deco styling, automatic only, and a V8 instead of a V10. It would have been a competitor to the Caddy XLR, which was...a failure.
Torque Reserve: Activate this alongside launch control for less lag when jumping off the line.
The issue looks to be related to the chassis. Unlike previous Z4s, this generation is not a modified 3 Series chassis, so parts aren’t a simple drop-in.
that is until Covid hit and it became impossible to score a C8 corvette for less than $90k.
The Infiniti Q50 has pure steer by wire.
People shit on the Neon, but it was a great enthusiast car. The R/Ts were the Focus ST of the day.
