Remind me again, why is an esports team trading in the stock market?

I mean, that sure was the lingering narrative on the internet especially on sites like this!

This Wired article wasn’t criticism, it was a hit job. The dude basically hated Sanderson from the get go and in spite of all the evidence that he’s a nice guy decided “hey fuck this guy”

I like Sanderson’s books, they’re definitely popular because they’re accessible and competently delivered as opposed to dazzling the reader with prose but there’s no shame in being the MCU of fantasy books.

other examples of games with good RTX include Control, Cyberpunk 2077 (shocking, I know)

Oh can you stop calling Ray Tracing as RTX, it’s a marketing term used by Nvidia. If rays are being traced on consoles it’s definitely not “RTX” since they use AMD GPUs. If you need to shorten Ray Tracing just use RT like Digital Foundry does. It makes more sense and uses one fewer keystroke.

Paramount+ does not have the streaming rights to Yellowstone, Peacock does. Paramount sold off the streaming rights before they started Paramount+. Paramount+ does have the rights to the Yellowstone spin-offs, 1883 and 1923. Paramount Network only has two original shows right now, Yellowstone and Bar Rescue.

That is your 100% your choice and I respect it, even if, to me, that was one of the positives of the game. I think there’s room in life for both types of games and both types of gamers.

actually it did launch with the real money auction house which in turn was a money machine but went horribly

Wait, didn’t they already do that with Diablo III to some extent?

Beyond that, even within videogames they were sexualized long before FF7. I can think of more than a few PC and Sega/SNES games with sexualized skirts that predate FF7.

Apparently Ashley (the author) has never been to Japan.

Games like FFVII recontextualized the skirt as feminine clothing item not only for women to wear, but to be sexualized in.”

This strikes me as an odd blanket statement. Skirts have been sexualized for far longer than their appearance in videogames, and their usage in games is reflective of their usage in reality

I don’t even know where to start with this. Dodge rolling has always been a dumb, overused mechanic that is mostly the fault of Souls games at this point, and even there, it was limited by equipment weight and stamina.

so i think these aren’t vents, they are like mini-lightsabers expressly for the purpose of making a crossguard -hence why they emit right at the hilt so there’s less of a vulnerable spot.

Why is there a guy with a Kylo Ren looking light saber?  Were people that bad at making them that they need to exhaust vents?  This is set, what 10 years after Order 66?  We’re still years away from the Battle of Yavin (Episode IV).  Kylo Ren isn’t even born yet.

Putting the consoles in a box is one thing.

...Why would government employees even be allowed to install ANY apps similar to TikTok on their work phones in the first place?

I loved voice control back on the Xbox One with Kinect, but the popular opinion at the time was that Xbox sucks, Kinect sucks and nobody wants to talk to their game console. Luckily Sony has added voice control to Playstation 5, a decade later, so now everyone can agree that it’s “way more convenient.” I miss, “Hey

Good for you?
