What about Condemned: Criminal Origins on the 360? That whole level in the department store still gives me shivers.

Agreed, so long as the framerate isn’t constantly changing (which I DO notice), lower ones are generally fine. That some people prioritize framerate over other things like you said is crazy to me, but I guess it’s good that the option is given.

I have zero desire to start noticing that, I like being able to enjoy things.

If given the option I run my PS5 games on graphics over performance mode every time. Ray tracing and 4k is far more important to me than 60fps. My brain adjusts just fine to 30fps as long as it’s stable. And sometimes the 60 just feels unnatural to me. 

I gotta be honest, I do not and in most cases cannot notice the frame rate difference between 30 and 60fps. I’m not arguing that they shouldn’t try and make it look good, but I also don’t think most people care.

Yeah, if anything, it received mostly glowing reviews while most recent AC games seem stale.  I think the author here is an outlier.

“just not that kind of game?” uh, Sekiro is a souls-like game and GoT is an open world RPG, unless you mean they’re both in a Japanese setting and therefore the same kind of game lmao.

I had to do a double take, because the thing I appreciated about GoT is that the characters didn’t all look like sexy movie stars. They looked like completely average people. Jin is not a very handsome man, which is so out of the ordinary for game protagonists. 

Sekiro is made by Japanese developers and he has zero sex either. Internalized foreign stereotypes, or just not that kind of game? 

Ghost of Tsushima was mostly a joyless slog

Having Jin go have a drink and thirst after some good looking lady would be… something that samurai movies depict all the time 🤷🏽‍♂️. And it wouldn’t have detracted from the more serious parts of the game.

Also Japan absolutely loved GoT.

Opinion...
Ghost of Tsushima was superior to the most of the Assassin’s Creed games. The first few were good, then they lost their way.
If anything, they should take a good hard look at Tsushima and figure out how to improve on it.

I rather enjoyed GoT but to each their own.
