Ok, so yeah - they’re just called “Evils” in the Japanese version; but no, even when the word is already in English, they decide to take the word infested, and replace the beginning with ‘mal’, meaning bad or evil, just so we know they’re not potentially infested by something good without needing an additional word...

Is this another one of those things where the Japanese version uses a real, normal word for it (like corrupted or something), but the localization team didn’t think it was edgy enough, so they smushed together two real words to bring forth the ultimate edginess?

Didn’t the swords break and create evil (and good) sword-shards, that then got turned into new swords, maybe possessed some people, and then... Stuff happened? Fighty-type stuff?

Do you really want to know?

Except it doesn’t, really; but as long as they can keep people believing that, that’s all that matters.

Hey, there are hardcore masochists with stranger fetishes out there...

Old policy: The Beatings Will Continue Until Morale Improves.

...and we already have a whole horde of them waiting, desperate to take your place - you should appreciate how lucky you are to have been chosen to be Office-Slave #847.

Well, it’s optional in the sense that you are given a choice, but either way, you’re volunteering for something: either for excessive work you don’t want, or to be first against the wall when it’s time for the firing line.

I always thought you were an AI that spontaneously formed out of years of collected Kotaku comments...

Just a small note - you might want to think, just a little, of how offensive this line might be to people from backgrounds other than your own:

The moment Trump started harping on Warren’s heritage (regardless of how you view the situation), it was clear this was how it was going to play out.

See, that’s because I *believe* in the Republican Party, and know that, deep down inside, they aren’t just doing it for the money; they do so many things without a hint of financial reward, after all.

But, it’s also true that it is hard to see God’s love in the existence of Spy Kids 2. What a terrible, terrible movie.

Well, that really depends on the time period, and the roll of the individual - there’s a whole lot of late medieval full-plate out there that was made *just* light enough for a well-trained individual to not collapse on the 20-meter walk from the armory to their horse, which they were then lifted onto using a crane.

It has poise, I'll admit.

CoD, SportsTitle 20XX and WrestlingGameXX are released to the public every year as a means to identify those members of the population that can be safely purged, drafted to frontline infantry/minesweepers, or repurposed as emergency food supplies in case of drastic shortages, without any significant harm to

Really, CoD/SportsGameTitle 20XX releases should just be put into a different category altogether, separate from gaming.

It always makes me die a little inside to see developers spend years lovingly crafting a creative, innovative, potentially revolutionary game, get everything just right, hit all the right notes...
