Well, good for you! They fucked me over way before you even got started.

I’ll add to that and say the transmission’s have a filter and it should be changed. You usually need to drop the pan to do it but it is a thing that occasionally needs to be replaced. And for goodness sake take the magnet and clean it off while you’re in there.
Your time has more value than you realize, and it’s not always worth it spending days or multiple weekends attempting to fix/repair/replace something that a shop could do in an afternoon. I consider myself pretty handy, but I’ve come to realize when I’m in over my head or when a task requires more than I’m willing to…
There are no regulations for side marker lamps on vehicles wider than 80 inches. The lamps you’re thinking of are clearance and identification lamps- the five lamps spaced 1-3-1 across the top front and top rear of commercial vehicles and oversized pickups.
What rubbish. Don’t you think their energy might have been better spent on making that rear wiper clear more than, what, 10% of the glass?
“Basically, a lot of buyers felt that when they were off-roading their Acadia, they’d like to be a bit more visible, and that’s where the corner lights come in.”
There are many things I find satisfying about my car, a 1982 Mercedes 300td. I love vintage Mercedes diesels… so that ticks a major box… and I love that I can fill it up with renewable diesel fuel (the new fancy name for plant based biodiesel). It is a very relaxing car to drive, but it is also a wagon that can hold a…
That’s an unnecessarily dickish response.
Same here. And the Wranger I wanted -- a simple 2 door soft top with a stick shows up n the configurator for $32K. Click “search local inventory” and the cheapest one that comes up is over $40K.
Given Jeep’s recent management history so long all entry-level trim models. Hello to only $50k-$100 Wrangler and GCs. The Compass will have a $30k entry point and they will say look we have cheap Jeeps still.
I was a field validation test driver for Mercedes-Benz Research and Development for two years, and a pre-production durability test driver for Porsche and Audi for a year and we drove our test cars out there all the time. I’ve also driven personal cars out there, a 2010 Subaru Outback and my 2017 Mini Cooper and…
I worked for years as a Salesperson at a Jeep lot. Often times people would come in enthusiastically to test drive and possibly buy a Wrangler Unlimited JK, but have their dreams shattered by the stiff bouncy driving experience, wind noise, lack of amenities, and atrocious fuel economy. Those issues were only slightly…
$125K for a Beetle? That’s 26 years old, with a frunk that doesn’t appear to close completely? It’s official: I’m too damn old to understand today’s used car market.
The poor guy has enough to worry about maintaing a Porsche. Daily needs to be low maintenance
Daily the Porsche is the right answer. I drive my Carrera 991.1 every day.
Gustavo, you should daily your Porsche.
Sad to say, but the owner probably got the best possible outcome there —- insurance pays her to replace a vehicle that has terrifying depreciation. It’s the only way she’d ever get close to her money back.
Also, if every single Tesla Model Y on the road could have their headlights properly aimed from the factory, that would be great, thanks...
