Seriously. If you don’t buy your dream car when you turn SIXTY-NINE, what is the point of life?
Seriously. If you don’t buy your dream car when you turn SIXTY-NINE, what is the point of life?
for many (not for me, I daily 1988 bimmer) this is considered too old
I was almost this same exact guy, although over a decade ago at this point. I commuted from Arlington out to Tysons Corner thru some brutal traffic on 66 and route 7. I got a lightly used manual GTi and it’s a pretty ideal car for a young person living in an urban environment. Good enough on gas, parks easily and is…
Wow, what a total buzzkill you are. (You are also correct. Wisdom is recognizing that those two things very often go together in life.)
Novel idea:
Instead of going out and blowing $25k before you’re established in a job and have a known steady income, just keep what you have for a year or so so you get a better grasp on life and what you’ll actually need.
You missed the plot. Noone ever said Tesla doesn’t discount - they have up front pricing and everyone pays the price on the website - theres no dealers to negotiate with. Discounts have been around since the Model S for various reasons and in various guises ( free supercharging, points, $ off on in stock inventory…
I disagree. Not that it isn’t an amazing piece of design, but rather it is an milestone of 90s Japanese design (along with FD). Nothing screams 90s/00s like the NSX. This and the playstation are rooted in a point of time.
I agree, while many people will see this as just another screw up for Ford, its a remarkable achievement that they can pinpoint an issue on 19 out of thousands of truck made each day.
Suspiciously cheap. A quick perusal of other B7s for sale shows that most around this age are asking at least twice the price. You need a few years older to get near $12k. Just sounds too good.
Step one: wait ~5 model years for Ford to figure out their biggest mistakes first.
Right these are like 90's F-150 sized lol.
“90's Ranger-size” doesn’t seem to be an option
BMW M2 was MSRP at every dealer I visited. Laughably, Acura wants $62k for an Integra Type S, which makes it the same price as an M2, for two fewer cylinders, 130 fewer HP and many other shortcomings.
Yeah I spent most of my life in South Florida and have been through multiple hurricanes where power went out for long periods of time and I can absolutely confirm that when the power’s out you’re not getting gas either. You fill up before the storm and limit your driving (if the roads are even passable), I imagine…
You know what else runs on electricity? Gas pumps.
I bet it has cost you to lose a sale a few times. Toyota needs to get with the times.
“or a fairly niche full-sized sedan and coupe to look at”
Is this not kind of common sense though?
1) Average vehicle transaction cost shot up in the last 3 years. Meaning, if people don’t have to, they aren’t buying another one (similar to homes).
2) Vehicles are generally lasting longer (granted may require more maintenance cost, but chances are the vehicle is close to being…
