I'm 20+ hours into the adventure, but already I'm comfortable saying it's my favorite Zelda yet. My favorite part of Zelda games has always been exploring for the overworld for heart pieces/items and using dungeons to break those up. This game is almost entirely exploration and it's so fun to climb mountains, attack

Where can I find a Korok Leaf (besides obviously Korok village)? I've only seen one this whole time and a lot of rafts

Yeah I was taken aback by how little there was to do in the sky. I mean there was Skyloft, that one cabin, that diving game I hated, and a few sparse little islands. Wind Waker put the islands far apart to mask loading times, maybe they should've done the same thing

I'd like to know that too. The staff working on this must've been huge. I suspect the empty skies and fields of SS and TP were more about the limitations of the Gamecube/Wii though.

It's incredibly good. I never thought I'd see a Zelda game that offers up a world so big with so much to do. Can't wait to get home and start exploring new areas and filling in more of the map.

I think Dan likes to thrown in a "monogamy is fine" every once in awhile just to fuck with us. Next week he'll be like "Don't get a sex worker, talk to your wife".

I only watched Buffy on Netflix up to a few episodes into Season 4, but I always thought Xander was a dick. Most of the time his "skeptical human being" shit amounted to being snarky and unhelpful. Nicholas Brendon seems like an OK guy though (not a fan of that answer about Xander ending up with Buffy though), and I

I was worried that I wouldn't be able to update using wifi hotspot (I'm at a hotel), but my Switch finished in seconds!

Seems like Nintendo managed to not fuck things up and shipped enough this time, so maybe I'll just cancel my orders.

Best Buy was an in-store pickup, it says they'll hold onto it for a week. Gamestop said I could call and request them hold my system for me, but I could easily see someone accidentally selling mine.

Update: target still had some Switches so I bought one!

I'm in Fort Lauderdale for a trip I booked before Nintendo announced the Switch launch date. There's a Target about 5 minutes from where I'm staying. I have a Switch preordered at Gamestop and Best Buy, but it couldn't hurt to try to score one more just in case, right? Right?

I wonder how the lack of mass storage will factor in. Many (most?) AAA games on the PS4 have massive patches that eat up HDD space. Will companies be able to patch their games and provide content updates on the Switch? A patch for a game can easily take up 30 GB+, a fourth of a 128 GB micro SD card. Yes, you can

Also you're getting stuck with the cheap a s s controller that doesn't work right.

This morning I learned my husband passed his medical licensing exam!

I think making Gaston the gay guy would be even worse. The tortured, tragic gay villain is an all too-common trope.

I think the serenity prayer is a good mantra for plastic surgery. Recognize what you can change: a nose larger than you'd like, the size of your breasts, butt, pecs, etc. Recognize what you can't: the effects of aging, that someone will always be more attractive. Also it's important to realize that there will always

I think $5 is reasonable for the best NES and SNES games, but Urban Champion/Balloon Trip/etc? Fuck that. I'd pay $10-20 for 720/1080p Gamecube/Wii games, those generally look decent with the right filters.
Also they seemed to get the message on pricing by making the NES Classic $60, but then they made way too few of

This is what people have been saying Nintendo should do with the Virtual Console since forever. Except Virtual Console is mostly 20+ year old games and this will have stuff that's come out recently.

Wireless LAN is an awesome feature. I wanted to do an eight player match of Mario Kart on the Wii U but was really annoyed that it didn't support LAN.
