I was thinking of Jenifer Lewis earlier today and how much I loved her as the dean on A Different World. Great actress, we'll all be making her face a lot over the next few years.

That's certainly what some people think. You'll find this in other cultures as well, where they see acceptance of homosexuality as an invasion of 'western values'.
I like Zootopia, but I'm with you on This is The End. I didn't like Backstreet when they were at their peak, don't like them now.
Gay black man in an interracial marriage here. I've long since stopped paying attention to idiots like that. The same people who'd claim I was 'betraying' the race by marrying someone non-black would call me 'white' for being gay. They'd also give me shit for not liking sports, listening to the 'wrong' music, and…
This American Life has a story where Lindy West shares some of the vile stuff people say to her on twitter. She even talks to a troll who used her late father's name as his twitter handle. I don't know how she lasted 5 years, no one should have to endure this kind of ugliness.
Just get someone in the east tower to open a window and force-pull it to you.
ok
She has a daytime talk show. I know she's generally pro-gay, but had no idea she had much of a gay following.
I'm at my mother in law's house all this week so I've been relying on my 3ds between all the visits and dinners. Fire Emblem: Awakening has been my main distraction. I'm playing it on Casual which makes it much more relaxing. Losing party members permanently made me give up on The Sacred Stones, just kept reloading my…
This is the perfect chance to quote AV Club's review of the Mario Kart 8 characters:
I blame the music on the N64's lack of a sound chip. Every track is ~40 seconds. That's one of the most baffling choices on the N64's hardware.
I'm still in Chapter 13 of Final Fantasy XV. I've run down all my problems with the game in the most recent Review in Progress article, so I won't rehash them here. I'll finish the main quest eventually.
As I've said elsewhere, this is a pretty weak FF game. The biggest problem for me is the battles. I haven't had to do much beyond scan enemies for weaknesses then attack with the strongest weapon, casting a spell here and there. The story is an incoherent mess.
In 90 minutes my husband's plane lands and I'll pick him up from the airport. He's finally done with that medical school in the Caribbean! The driver overcharged him for his last cab ride because he knew my husband wouldn't be back. A nice capper to living on that island.
I just unfollow them. Maybe it'd be good to try to talk him down a little, because even though he'd probably never go through with what he's talking about, I wouldn't want to see him on the news and think I should've said something.
I was aghast at the woman whose boyfriend was monitoring her eating. Shut that shit down the first time he made one comment about her food. What a colossal asshole.
To me McMansions represent a kind of accepted, crass materialism. They're more about showing off how much wealth you have than actually using the money to improve your living situation. Also, given the recent housing collapse, it's not hard to think most of the people living there bought a bigger house than they can…
I'm a little over halfway through that book. Maybe I'll finish over the holiday break.
The Turtles in Time remake was so unnecessary. They should've emulated the SNES version with online play. Or better yet, reworked the arcade version with SNES' combat and extra stages so we get the superior gameplay of the SNES game without losing the animations and 4-player mode in the arcade game.
What did 2016 mean to me? Tough call. It was a weird year, Nintendo's between home consoles so my most anticipated game, Zelda: Breath of the Wild, got the delay we all saw coming a mile away. My second most anticipated game, Street Fighter V, was released incomplete and without an Arcade mode (seriously it's not that…
