The Machine isn’t really just of the students though. Donors, boosters, ex alumni are who actually run it. Basically there are some rich people outside of actual students who manipulate the University.

And after they graduate, they go on to control business and politics in Alabama. Everything wrong in the state get its start in Tuscaloosa.

I'm happy that she quit and also glad she exposed this insanity. It's one thing to resign and keep the oath of silence, it's another to speak out knowing she will be shunned for it. Brave woman.
