Great read.
When I finally get Vandelay Industries off the ground and make my millions, im gonna do this, but with a G550 4x4 Squared.
Diesel and a manual please.
Oh, head and tailights are from a 2005.
You must have different standards for fuel economy than me... because 16mpg from a giant box like that is pretty darn good! My 2004 Range Rover wasn’t very quick either, with a downright glacial 0-60 time of 9.5 seconds, and it got 13mpg at best.
^ This. German cars have stupid little issues but their drivetrains are generally pretty solid.
The difference is that the G will never leave you stranded (unless you run out of gas because of a broken gas gauge) The “unreliability” is in the “luxury” features, not in the power train which is built to the million mile standards that made Mercedes famous.
