It also doesn’t come with an included airbag… which is interesting.

Nik should clarify if he lives in Boston or “Boston”. If he’s out in Waltham / Newton / Brighton and has garage parking those beautiful wagons make plenty of sense. If he’s in Boston proper and parking on the street, he should consider something that will live a short brutal life.
I do not understand these things, just from the picture at the top of the article I can tell that it has terrible sight lines and a woeful lack of interior space. Which begs two questions at least, why did it get made in the first place? And, who on earth thought of buying one?
Tesla is not a luxury brand. Convince me I’m wrong. The model S can pass for luxury, but not the 3/Y where the bulk of sales sit.
first we need to define what is a “luxury brand”? according to google:
Without knowing living situation its hard to recommend an EV but if you can charge it I would get a Model 3. Gas isn’t getting any cheaper and SF is stupid expensive already. For a long term purchase you’ll be saving thousands with an EV.
You do know what OTA means right? Because it sounds like you don’t know what it means.
“But sure, I’m the one who needs a clue.”
“Neither, they’ll muddle along at low single digit market share, just as they always have and always will,”
That’s just silly. Buying something as expensive as a car for an edge case is just a great way to throw away money. It’s definitely not correct. By that logic, I should have bought a pickup when I bought a house because I have to make several dump runs a year, or because I want to use one to vacation a couple times…
Missed this over the last week did you?
Volkswagen will again be at the center of an environmental scandal when it is discovered that the popular ID.4 model is not what it seems. Researchers and whistleblowers will reveal that the “electric” charging port is a dummy unit and that the cars are actually running on highly toxic selenium reclaimed from used…
considering they were 0% market share a decade ago and are now at 6.3% I don’t think that’s muddling along.
You always crack me up w/this stuff. 100+ years ago you would have held on to your horses as they were (rightly!) seen as more reliable and with better range than those new fangled internal combustion cars.
Prediction: MAGA Bros will start to smash or burn EV charging stations.
I think due to the chip shortage, things will be delayed for every manufacturer. But EVs are here to stay for sure. Tesla has been approximately doubling its sales every year or so, and other manufacturers are picking up steam. Still a long way to go to catch up to Europe. Like Norway new vehicle market share is…
Great. You can be the one person that buys this thing.
How on earth does a car like this, which surely had to go through dozens of committees and board meetings to get approved, end up for sale with 100 miles of range?
