I own a 2021 model. Zero problems. I wouldn’t exactly call it fun to drive, but it is fine, and it just sips at the gas. And my old(ish) parents and in-laws can get in and out very easily. I would recommend this car to anybody.

The Soul is often my go-to recommendation for people who “need” an SUV. I had them as rentals a few times and have always been impressed. I’ve “sold” 3 of them so far. I tried to get my mom into one...but literally could not, she’s too short to climb in and a tad older and just could not make it work, so into a…
The Soul competes with the regular Corolla Cross, which beats it on cargo space and power, and matches it on fuel economy. An AWD Corolla Cross XLE is still under $30K... the hybrid version’s pricing isn’t out but should exceed $30K in most trims.
These are great rental cars. Plenty of room, the back swallows bags, practical, good mpg, and doesn’t feel like you’re driving a bland rental car up the PCH (looking at you rental Malibu)
Seems more like the Fit
I miss my xB, I put 150K on that tall wagon
Dropping their 50-year crusade against women’s health would leave the Republican base with no reason to care, and Republican candidates no way to raise money from the Christianist rubes. So “death penalty for gynecologists” and other “we’ll be tougher than tough” fundraising is all they have.
CNN can’t corroborate details of an HR investigation 15 years ago? I work on HR. They have all records. Either there is nothing, or someone isn’t asking the right question. Based on what little I know from this article, could be either.
I mean, what did she think was going to happen? That Roe was going to fall and Republicans were just going to go, “Yay! We won! Nothing more to do here! Let’s all go home and be happy with that result.” The whole point of overturning Roe was so that they could enact these draconian laws, which have always been…
They’ve been running on overturning Roe v Wade for 50 years. Pro-Choice voters fooled ourselves into believing that it would never really happen. Anti-Choice people had only one issue that they could agree upon and this was it. When you’ve got as many “single issue voters” as they do, it’s a stupid idea to get rid of…
“That’s nice Ann, but, see sweetie: You’re a woman. And that means you’re a second class citizen in the conservative world. So, if we want to hear your opinion, we’ll come into the kitchen and ask for it. Okay sweetie? Okay.”
This. The fact that folks who really should know better seem to think that the GOP even believe in democracy anymore, much less plan to play by its rules is very depressing. You’re arguing the rules of chess while the other side is actively and out in the open, planning to burn the whole fucking building down with you…
But this isn’t a good point? Abortion isn’t a constitutional right anymore, sure, but then it will still occur in blue states that protect that right. The whole point of the anti-choice crowd is a national abortion ban and punishing women who try to get one anyway. Taking away a constitutional right isn’t enough to be…
This is premised on the idea that Republicans still need popular support to win elections to remain in power.
It’s not even a correct one. (Ann is plenty far right, but as she often is, wrong.) Sure, their attacks on bodily autonomy, actual religious freedom, minorities, etc., might peel away some portion of their less zealous members, but it does leave a frothing (more rabidly than Santorumesque, butt...) base to boldly…
“Lemon’s alleged, long-term relationship with a 22-year-old employee around 15 years ago when he was 41. Per the outlet:”
I grew up with a super-judgemental, narcissistic, Asian mom. My wife and I are both Asian American. We always laugh at Simu’s “you can’t ever please your Asian parents” twitter jokes because they hit close to home. Is it an over-played stereotype? Yes but nearly all of my Asian friends have dealt with it to some…
He had one movie of note, but weird to call him a poster boy
