I get it. And my line of work is tangential to many of the efforts to increase the quantity and quality of charging stations. In a few years I hope an electric car will be the right fit for idiots like me.

Charging requires more planning, more responsibility. If you’re low on gas you just ... stop for gas. Anywhere. 5 minutes later and you have a full tank. That’s not the case with any electric vehicle.

I cannot believe people don’t get this! If you get hungry you should ... just ignore it? It goes away? Typically, if you are hungry, that hunger will only increase over time until you eat food.

Coldest I’ve seen was about ~40F.  My car started with the block heater, but it was a sad, wheezy kind of start at those temps. Another 18 degrees colder might have been a different story.

THANK YOU. I have some experience sourcing stainless for home appliances. And experience with lawsuits when the “stainless” ends up not-so-stainless after a couple of years.

What I am hearing is “if you are okay with building shitty, unsafe cars and lose out on recurring sales because your customers are disappointed and/or dead, then stainless is a totally valid choice.”
