Can you provide evidence for the statement that the investigations show “it’s always the fault of the jackass driver?”

I agree. There’s a difference between utilitarian and cheap. These look cheap as hell.
Right but I think the point is ... why care enough to make a public statement on it? Repeatedly?
I get it. And my line of work is tangential to many of the efforts to increase the quantity and quality of charging stations. In a few years I hope an electric car will be the right fit for idiots like me.
Charging requires more planning, more responsibility. If you’re low on gas you just ... stop for gas. Anywhere. 5 minutes later and you have a full tank. That’s not the case with any electric vehicle.
I cannot believe people don’t get this! The argument against EV is always, “You don’t drive >200 miles most days, so range isn’t important.” This assumes I’m always starting on a full charge. If I’m supposed to go pick up my kids and my battery is nearly dead, I’m going to be a lot more than the 5 minutes late I…
I can’t even figure out which of the street I can park my car on which days at which times ...
I concede that I don’t have information or experience for that level of eating.
Yes! You feel MUCH more special. I posted this above, but sitting in a Land Rover is like sitting on a throne. It’s like you’re above all the petty bullshit going on amongst the peasants, in their normal-height seats.
I had an old Land Rover in college. It was like sitting on a throne on a raised dais, surveying my kingdom.
Can’t wait to have those cool, futuristic headlights nearly touching the back of my car, while blinding me via my rearview mirror. I’m also looking forward to getting a good side view as they illegally pass me on the shoulder.
Whhyyyyy would people not want their back doors to open at the push of a button?
Seriously, the only thing wrong with this for big families is that you can’t open the back doors by pushing a button ...
If you get hungry you should ... just ignore it? It goes away? Typically, if you are hungry, that hunger will only increase over time until you eat food.
Coldest I’ve seen was about ~40F. My car started with the block heater, but it was a sad, wheezy kind of start at those temps. Another 18 degrees colder might have been a different story.
Luckily, NHTSA exists. Also, Tesla is subject to suits in any jurisdiction where they sell the cars.
THANK YOU. I have some experience sourcing stainless for home appliances. And experience with lawsuits when the “stainless” ends up not-so-stainless after a couple of years.
What I am hearing is “if you are okay with building shitty, unsafe cars and lose out on recurring sales because your customers are disappointed and/or dead, then stainless is a totally valid choice.”
Absolutely embarrassing reaction to the results. Is there some secret cabal that pays all the bloggers to write the same bad takes over and over?
HBO was sued for violating a non-disparagement clause in a contract, not for defamation. HBO lost an attempt to have the case dismissed. It then went to arbitration, the results of which are not public.
