Yeah, I agree with this. I have little hope that American cities will fundamentally restructure to accommodate the level and quality of mass transit required. So I think many of us will have to rely on private vehicles, and the safer/more efficient we can make them, the better.

Do the words “functional safety” mean anything to you? Highly trained pilots are important. But I don’t want my life on a flight to depend solely on the pilot(s) being able to mitigate a problem in the plane itself.
