If they could reduce cost and reduce the rate of RRoD then it would make perfect sense. Especially if you expect a surge of new 360 owners with the release of the Natal. This might be their second chance to make a first impression.

Syd Mead's striking visual designs really helped make the movie memorable . He designed the lightcycle, tank, solar sailer, and carrier designs. Very sleek and stylish designs in all.

Microsoft has an uphill battle just like its X-Box 360 and Zune. Non one can defend its market position like Apple. I am sure that Apple has a new model of the iPhone that will make Windows 7 look obsolete.

@tjdeuceosix: Nintendo beat out both Sony and Microsoft with a low cost console. To top it off Nintendo has sold more wii's than all the PS3's and 360's combined!

That is just economics. The PS3 has helped Insomniac sell a lot of games, no doubt. Making cross platform games opens them up to a lot more sales than just sticking to the PS3. Besides software development costs are extremely high which they need to recoup.

I can't blame these dudes a bit. Who wouldn't want a PS3 over a 360? Seriously, do any FF fans really play Halo?? I think not!

Microsoft is trailing both the iPhone and the PS3. I doubt this will enable Win 7 to make any noticeable impact on the market.

If I were them, I would forget the 360. Just buy a PS3 and jump on PSN for free. PSN is a lot better than Xbox Live anyway and it is free!

With the amount of problems the 360 has, I don't think I would buy one at any price. The failure rate is just too high for that kinda money. The PS3 is a better deal anyway you look at it.
