Yep, energy prices are all linked. They don’t relate directly, but it will be felt across the board.

But my point wasn’t about gasoline. The article said that prices will remain high because of global instability affecting the price of oil. Even if we’re not producing oil we can use directly, extra, exported supply would help stabilize the global market and oil prices.

I agree that the Keystone pipeline shouldn’t have been canceled, but that ship has sailed.  The reality is that 1) we still need fossil fuels and 2) pipelines are by far the best way to ship oil, gasoline, and natural gas from where it is produced to where it is needed.  Prematurely shutting down fossil fuel…

Why is a 3 series not on the list?

We need to replace the oil we are currently importing from Russia. If we can’t replace that oil with US production, then it would be better to get it from Canada than from Venezuela or Iran.

Well, we can shut them down... but they should be replaced with new modern reactors. 

We’re cool with them operating concentration camps right now, so that tracks.
