There's a lengthy fanfic series (I know, I know) where in large part thanks to Kataan, Picard acknowledges that friendships and relationships with people are important to a life well lived, and additionally, that he does want to be a father. He eventually marries Deanna Troi and they have a lot of kids.

Kepner's wedding, though, I forgot Edwards was the hapless girlfriend.

I was really confused by how everyone was calmly milling around in a building that was on fire. Maybe I missed a line about the superior building construction that keeps fire from spreading to other parts of the building. But then Jackson went into a room and was like "Huh, the ceiling is on fire," and just closed

I was half convinced that was how Edwards would die. Check the airway!

She's in charge of a notorious crime syndicate and plastic surgery ring, I hear.

Yeah, Paul Adelstein (playing the ex-husband of Lisa Edelstein). Except he was gone most of the last season. Better known for playing Cooper on Private Practice, though.

Of course! Where else can we get out the eyerolls?

I think the last time Thatcher showed up it was when he needed a liver transplant from Meredith, which they used for Ellen Pompeo's first maternity leave. I think it would be fun to see him again now that many people don't realize Mer's dad is Cyrus Beene.

Yeah, Lucy Knight was pretty terrible, but that scene where Carter gets stabbed and sees her bleeding out on the floor was pretty iconic, so she has that going for her at least.

I as well am completely confused about why it's supposed to be compelling to watch a man continue to not communicate about incredibly important things before marrying various women. TV! Be aspirational!

And now I'm thought-experimenting on whether Kellie Martin's character was worse than Jo…

Seriously — I've often defended late-model Grey's, but this season is so, so boring.

Definitely the best member of the ensemble. I've been wondering if he'll ever put in another appearance on Grey's. (I admit I had to look up the character to make sure he wasn't dead…)

I want to believe that Riggs & Meredith is on the back burner because that actually happens in life sometimes — you have feelings for someone and are kind of in each other's orbits, but a relationship doesn't develop until later because you have complicated lives or the timing is bad or whatever — but I don't know if

When they said they were bringing in an experienced management consultant I was hoping for someone with gravitas who would actually kick people's asses. Then Minnick showed up and it was like "Oh, yeah, right, Arizona is single at the moment." Sigh.

Emily was a good example of the Dunning-Kruger effect, where the incompetent inexplicably think they are good at what they do. I am really glad we're done cringing at her now. It started being noticeably embarrassing the week she didn't want to embarrass herself in front of the chef who fired her, but then amazingly

It used to show up in Comcast's on demand listings, but earlier today this week's LCK wasn't there yet.

What do we want? Drugs! When do we want them? Now! What do we want? Drugs! When do we want them? Now!

Yeah, I was really surprised pregnant teen didn't reveal she had stabbed herself, but since she's still under their care I guess there's still time for that…
