My wife and I had a Legsvy off this vintage, in the same color and spec. It was nearly unkillable.

It’s unfortunate, but those of us who want attractively styled vehicles with manual transmissions are going to have to be less picky. It’s getting to be slim pickings out there, and the values of such cars are increasing disproportionately to the market. This would have been a $4K car all day long, two years ago.
I know that I asked Liberty Mutual about that when I hit a hoof rat and totaled my 525xi. It was a $400 buyback and I asked it they would insure it if I fixed it up, they told me no problem.
Well, with the aftermarket/facelift” headlights and subframe damage, it would seem to have been hit in the front, so long shots of the rails from the rear tell you nothing.
I have some training with shooting handguns in cars. In particular, a fair bit of it was through windshields and sideglass. (Some of that training even involved the driver shooting out the passenger side window _with me in the passenger seat_, which I can assure you is quite invigorating on its own merits.)
“Holy *&@!, when you shoot a gun inside your own car, right through the window, it’s loud!
I’ve worked on these cars. A lot of these cars. I’ve owned 2, my father owned 5, and looking at the shape and description of this one the seller is wrong. That’s not a 97K Eagle, that’s a 197K Eagle. Those power steering pumps don’t usually leak until at least the 150k mark, the replacement seats are a dead giveaway,…
Trucks are supposed to have some battle damage IMHO. But if it bugs you the local junkyard will have a bed for $500 to swap out. Easy job to do.
Since it isn’t mentioned here, this was SpaceX’s 15th Falcon9 launch ever (currently at #137), so long ago they hadn’t even successfully landed a booster yet. It was also the first SpaceX launch beyond geostationary orbit / first SpaceX into interplanetary space. The payload, the Deep Space Climate Observatory…
This seems like a great candidate for an electromod. Original drivetrain is both crap and rare. Combine with a salvage Fiat 500e and you’ve got something interesting.
I like it. It doesn’t need a full restoration, just a ‘revival’. Sort the engine compartment out, change all the fluids and belts and whatnot. Deep clean it inside and out, then cut and polish the paint.
Not only that, but as long as you don’t floor it the worst thing that’ll happen is you’ll drop off the rear wheels onto the chassis and get stuck waiting for a tow truck or a crane to drag your car off. You won’t actually fall unless you have a pallet of bricks in the back.
But this van’s skins came from 23 now extinct velour birds.
As Ferraris go, it’s not bad, but for me it lacks the daring passion of design that made the 308/328s so appealing. Those cars looked like the designer’s hands caressed every curve and fold carefully.

As an owner of a low mileage ‘88 560SL, I’ve enjoyed seeing the prices of the these cars rise quickly over the years. The price, and the overall cosmetic condition makes this a “buy” for someone who is handy or willing to drop $5k on suspension, rubber bits and sundry items to make it drive like it ought to. That’s in…
I know about Tucker, but I’m hesitant to call them “mass market.” Same for the Tatra T87.
If I’m driving down a dark desert highway, there better be cool wind in my hair!
